We are seeking a P&D Supervisor for our Lithonia, GA location.
Work Schedule:
Sunday 0600-1800
Monday-Wednesday 1800-0600
Responsibilities:
  • Insure proper hand off and execution of assigned plans or loads
  • Analyze available equipment, drivers and loads
  • Estimate loads and trip times
  • Establish truck schedules as necessary
  • Evaluate the operation to promote cost-efficient service and make recommendations for improvements
  • Monitor current equipment location and status
  • Advise Area Managers, Customer Service Representatives, and/or Service Center Manager of delays or issues with after hour deliveries or in the absence of Area Manager
  • Interact with customers and troubleshoot problems to obtain final resolution as needed
  • Respond quickly and efficiently to changes in drivers, road conditions, or load needs and assist Linehaul Supervisors in re-powering loads and drivers when necessary
  • Effectively assist the Area Manager and Service Center Manager in the supervision of drivers
  • Resolve any driver issues or concerns as appropriate
  • Recommend specific disciplinary action for performance or disciplinary problems to the Service Center Manager
  • Responsible to accomplish other duties that may be assigned on an ad hoc or permanent basis in conjunction with or in addition to these current responsibilities
  • Regular and reliable attendance is required
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Skills:
  • Minimum two years' experience in telephone sales or dispatch
  • Model professional attitude and maintains composure at all times
  • Must have management experience
  • Ability to inspire and lead others to attain company goals
  • IT competent, previous experience with Microsoft Office and the latest software applications
  • Highly organized with exceptional follow-through abilities
  • Strong verbal/written communications
  • Highly motivated, flexible and great attitude
  • Organizational skills for planning, decision-making and executing with excellence
  • Skilled in developing standards and process improvement
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and work within a team structure
