The ideal candidate enjoys interacting with people, is comfortable working independently and as part of a team, and understands the importance of creating an exceptional customer experience.

  • Provide friendly, knowledgeable, and engaging customer service.
  • Educate customers about Tysons Creamery products, flavors, ingredients, and brand.
  • Assist with event setup and breakdown, including tables, displays, signage, menus, merchandise, and serving materials.
  • Maintain an attractive, organized, and professional event display throughout each event.
  • Serve and distribute products according to established food safety and presentation standards.
  • Assist customers with product selections and answer questions regarding flavors and ingredients.
  • Process customer purchases and accurately handle point-of-sale transactions when applicable.
  • Assist with merchandise sales and promotional materials.
  • Monitor product and supply levels during events and communicate needs to the Operations Manager.
  • Assist with event inventory counts before and after events.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the serving and customer areas.
  • Help load, unload, transport, and organize event supplies and equipment.
  • Follow food safety and sanitation procedures during all events.
  • Gather customer feedback and communicate observations and opportunities to management.
  • Help create a welcoming and memorable Tysons Creamery experience for every guest.
Qualifications
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Friendly, outgoing, and comfortable engaging with customers.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in busy event environments.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining brand presentation standards.
  • Previous customer service, hospitality, retail, food service, event, or sales experience preferred.
  • Undergraduate college students are welcome and encouraged to apply.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Reliable transportation to event locations throughout Northern Virginia.
  • Availability for some evenings and weekends.
What You’ll Learn

Although this position does not involve kitchen production, the Customer Experience & Events Associate will gain valuable exposure to the operations of a growing small business, including:

  • Event planning and execution
  • Product knowledge and presentation
  • Sales and point-of-sale operations
  • Inventory management
  • Merchandising and brand presentation
  • Event logistics and organization
  • Food safety and sanitation
  • Marketing and customer engagement
  • Small-business operations
  • Teamwork, communication, and problem-solving
Work Environment & Schedule
  • Part-time, flexible position with hours based primarily on scheduled events.
  • Events may take place on weekdays, evenings, and weekends.
  • Work is primarily performed at markets, corporate locations, residential communities, festivals, and other event venues throughout Northern Virginia.
  • Some events may be outdoors and require working in varying weather conditions.
  • This position does not involve work in the production kitchen.
