Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced CNC Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of advanced CNC milling equipment within a precision manufacturing environment. This role will serve as the primary maintenance resource for C.B. Ferrari Milling Machines and will work closely with Maintenance, Production, and Engineering teams to ensure optimal machine performance, equipment reliability, and minimal production downtime. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical aptitude, CNC machine maintenance experience, and the ability to troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
Job Responsibilities:
* Perform a wide variety of machine maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting activities under the direction of the Maintenance Manager.
* Serve as the primary maintenance technician responsible for all C.B. Ferrari Milling Machines.
* Troubleshoot, analyze, and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical machine systems using maintenance manuals, blueprints, and technical specifications.
* Detect and report electrical and electronic failures requiring repair by specialized personnel.
* Disassemble, clean, repair, and rebuild control valves and mechanical subassemblies.
* Replace worn or damaged machine components including bearings, bushings, seals, shafts, cams, clutches, brakes, and gear train components.
* Perform preventive maintenance activities on compressors, pumps, motors, engines, and production equipment.
* Replace belts, pulleys, sprockets, chain drives, springs, shaft bearings, and related mechanical components.
* Assist with moving, leveling, and installing machinery and related accessories under supervision.
* Install replacement piping, control boxes, and machine accessories as required.
* Utilize hand tools, power tools, chain hoists, rollers, power lifts, and other industrial maintenance equipment safely and effectively.
* Perform basic welding, milling, drilling, boring, and lathe operations to fabricate or repair simple machine parts.
* Use precision measuring instruments to verify clearances, alignment, flatness, parallelism, rotational accuracy, and other machining tolerances.
* Detect and report defective materials, faulty operations, and unusual maintenance concerns to management.
* Maintain equipment and work areas in a clean, safe, and organized condition.
* Follow all company safety procedures, quality standards, and manufacturing regulations.
* Perform additional duties and support activities as assigned by supervision.
Required Qualifications:
* High School diploma or GED required.
* Minimum of 3 years of relevant industrial or CNC machine maintenance experience.
* Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
* Experience working with CNC machinery and manufacturing equipment.
* Ability to read and interpret blueprints, machine drawings, technical manuals, and specifications.
* Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
* Experience using precision measuring instruments and shop math calculations.
* Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, lifting devices, and industrial maintenance equipment.
* Ability to work independently and prioritize maintenance tasks effectively.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience maintaining C.B. Ferrari Milling Machines strongly preferred.
* Prior experience in aerospace or precision manufacturing environments.
* Basic welding and machining experience including milling, drilling, boring, and lathe operations.
* Familiarity with preventive maintenance systems and machine installation procedures.
* Understanding of manufacturing quality procedures and safety regulations.
* Experience supporting high-precision machining operations.
