Job description

Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) in Bolivar, MO is hiring a Registered Dietitian to join our staff caring for patients at the Diabetic Education Center! CMH is made up of 34 primary and specialty clinics, 6 Long-Term Care facilities and 1 residential care facility. Offering acute care, emergency services, ambulatory care, pharmacies, walk-in clinics, surgeries, addiction recovery, therapies and more, CMH has its community covered!
About the area: Located in the heart of the Ozarks, our main campus in Bolivar has a hometown feel and affordable housing options of rentals or apartments. About the department: The CMH Diabetic Education Center provides education, assessment and oversight of nutritional needs to optimize patients' outcomes through proper understanding of individualized needs.
A typical day includes: Providing education to patients, which may include medication interactions, dietary restrictions and meal composition changes and their impact on lab values, as well as other nutrient and dialysis-related topics relating to maintaining or improving health.
  • Assesses the nutrition status of patients and develops appropriate evidence-based interventions for patients based on individualized needs
  • Conducts follow-ups to track patients' progress and outcomes
  • Provides nutrition education and counseling to patients and family members
  • Assists in managing diet restrictions, electrolytes, fluid intake and other related treatments

Job Requirements:
  • Education: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelors Degree in Dietetics and completion of an approved dietetic internship or coordinated undergraduate program
  • Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of experience
  • Licensure/Certification: Registered with the Commission of Dietetic Registration; State of Missouri Licensed Dietitian, or Registered Nurse licensed in the state of Missouri; Certified Diabetes and Education Care Specialist, or must obtain within 2 years of employment

This position is: PRN with some nights and weekends required,
