Job description

Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH)  is hiring a Registered Dietitian to join our staff caring for patients at the Diabetic Education Center — someone who leads with skill, compassion, and a drive to positively impact every patient and family we serve. 

Position Details 

  • Status: PRN
  • Work Shift: Nights and Weekends
  • Hours: Varied

What Your Day Looks Like: The CMH Diabetic Education Center provides education, assessment, and oversight of nutritional needs to optimize patients' outcomes through proper understanding of individualized needs.

As a Dietitian, you will be:  

  • Providing education to patients, which may include information about medication interactions, dietary restrictions and meal composition changes and their impact on lab values
  • Assessing the nutrition status of patients and developing appropriate evidence-based interventions for patients based on individualized needs
  • Modifying diet plans according to physician orders
  • Conducting follow-ups to tracking patients' progress and outcomes
  • Assisting in managing diet restrictions, electrolytes, fluid intake and other related treatments

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics; completion of a dietetic internship or coordinated undergraduate program which is approved by the American Nutrition & Dietetic Association
  • Skills: Patient care, problem-solving, customer service, and listening skills
  • Licensure/Certification: Current registration from the American Dietetic Association
  • Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of standing and walking, and sedentary work performing computer tasks
