Viking, a Texas tradition in fencing since 1972, is looking for a full-time, non-exempt Yard Worker to join our Sanitation division. If you are a forklift pro with a positive attitude and a knack for detail, we want to hear from you!
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Operate forklift and banding equipment safely and efficiently.
- Clean & sanitize rental equipment
- Use various motorized and manual equipment, including pallet jacks and dollies.
- Repair and stack panels.
- Make sandbags for temporary fence rental orders.
- Accurately load trucks based on outgoing orders.
- Receive inbound material and organize in the yard.
- Maintain excellent yard presentation.
- Secure freight on trucks using appropriate tools and supplies.
- Work safely and efficiently, following company safety policies.
- Complete special projects as needed.
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
- Exposure to all types of weather.
- Regularly lift freight and objects (up to 50 lbs.).
- Safely navigate loading docks that may be slippery.
- Extended periods of walking and standing.
- Reach, bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat, and kneel as necessary.
