Job description

About CatsOnly Veterinary Services

CatsOnly isn’t just here to build clinics, we’re here to lead a shift. One that makes feline-first care expected, respected, and replicated across the profession. We center the Cat in everything we do and design care and experience around the Cat and Caregiver bond. We act with intention so every visit feels safe, kind, and clinically excellent. The CatsOnly philosophy is a species‑specific, emotionally intelligent, bond‑centered model of veterinary care. We have reimagined every touchpoint from environment to communication, from clinical delivery to industry alignment through the eyes of both the Cat and the Caregiver, as a team. Grounded in science, behavior, and human emotion our philosophy defines a new standard in feline care.

Our mission is to inspire a revolution in the veterinary field by creating a care journey that prioritizes the patient, their caregiver, and the unique human‑Cat bond. If you're passionate about Cats, relationship building, innovation, and advancing feline medicine, this is your calling.

Our Core Values Trust

We earn trust by showing up, consistently, reliably, and with integrity, for every Cat, Caregiver, and fellow Care Team member. In the exam room, this looks like gentle hands, clear guidance, and follow‑through. Within our teams, it means creating a culture of belonging, where servant leadership uplifts others and respect is felt in every interaction. Trust is the foundation of our relationships, and it’s built moment by moment, paw by paw.

Transparency

We lead with honesty and clarity, whether we’re discussing a diagnosis, setting expectations for treatment, or reflecting as a Care Team. Our communication is rooted in empathy and shared purpose, allowing us to align with Caregivers and one another in service of what matters most: the health and happiness of our feline patients. Transparency deepens trust and ensures no one, human or animal, is left in the dark.

Intentionality

Every action we take is guided by thoughtful consideration and a deep sense of purpose. We don’t chase innovation for its own sake, we innovate with heart, always asking: Will this make life better for the Cat and their family? Our intentional approach allows us to lead the field in feline care, one mindful decision at a time.

Experiential Excellence

From the welcome lounge to the treatment room, we have created a space where both Cats and Caregivers feel genuinely welcome, safe, and cared for. Hospitality here means more than comfort, it’s the extra blanket in the kennel, the soft tone during a tough moment, the follow‑up call that says, we remember, we care. We go above and beyond to make every experience feel thoughtful, kind, and deeply personal.

Permission to Play

We believe joy belongs in veterinary medicine. Whether we’re celebrating a healthy check‑up, gently coaxing a nervous patient, or laughing with a client who feels like family—, bring lightness, creativity, and wholeheartedness to our work. This is a safe space to grow, to be curious, to try again. Our playful spirit honors the joy Cats bring into our lives—and strengthens the bonds we’ve been called to nurture.

Who We're Looking For

We’re searching for veterinarians who’s not only passionate about feline medicine, but inspired by the opportunity to shape its future. This is more than a clinical role. It’s a chance to co‑create a space where Cats are revered, families feel deeply supported, and veterinary care becomes a journey rooted in trust, compassion, and purpose.

You are a Cat lover to your core, someone who sees each feline as an individual and every Caregiver as a partner in care. You lead with empathy, listen with intention, and uplift those around you. You’re excited by the challenge of building something new—and motivated by the responsibility that comes with it. If you're driven by excellence, eager to grow alongside your team, and ready to reimagine what feline care can be, we’d love to meet you.

Your Role as a CatsOnly DVM
  • Deliver gold‑standard clinical care, diagnostics, surgery, and advanced dentistry exclusively for the feline species.
  • Champion the proprietary CatsOnly Care Journey™, ensuring every Cat and Cat Parent experience feels personalized, clinically rigorous, and emotionally intelligent.
  • Utilize Feline Biobehavioral Care™ Standards to minimize fear, anxiety, and stress (FAS), executing a gentle, consent‑based, minimal‑handing clinical approach.
  • Partner with and tailor communication to our diverse Cat Parent population, treating them as active participants in their cat's health journey.
  • Collaborate closely with clinic leaders and your Care Team to refine clinic workflows, support peer development, and practice blameless problem‑solving.
  • Act as an ambassador for the CatsOnly mission, fostering an emotionally safe, inclusive, and values‑driven clinic culture where joy and continuous learning thrive.
For those interested in leadership, opportunities are open to become a Partner Veterinarian.

Partner Veterinarians are the medical and cultural leader of a CatsOnly hospital. The partner role also will:

  • Shape the future of feline care by collaborating on protocols, workflows, and standards that reflect the most compassionate, thoughtful, and evidence‑based practices in feline medicine.
  • Lead and inspire your team through servant leadership, mentoring associates and support staff, building trust, and fostering a culture of appreciation, accountability, and growth.
  • Work in partnership with business leadership, contributing to staffing, budgeting, and goal setting with transparency and shared purpose.
  • Create and nurture a warm, values‑driven clinic culture where creativity, curiosity, and compassion thrive.
  • Connect with your community, helping us build visibility, trust, and meaningful relationships through outreach, education, and engagement.
  • Be a voice for our mission, both in the clinic and throughout the broader veterinary and feline‑loving communities.
What You Bring
  • A DVM or VMD degree and active veterinary license in good standing.
  • A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, with a deep love for and dedication to feline patients.
  • A relationship mindset and desire to practice with intentionality, humility, and continuous improvement.
  • Strong communication skills grounded in empathy and authenticity—ensuring exceptional hospitality for every family you serve.
  • A collaborative, entrepreneurial spirit and openness to the operational side of leading a clinic, paired with a commitment to transparency and accountability.
Partner Veterinarians should also have
  • A passion for mentorship, leadership, and building a clinic culture that feels like home—for Cats, Cat Parents, and Care Team members alike.
  • Experience launching a new clinic or building a team from the ground up.
  • Interest or background in practice management, medical operations, or team development.
  • Active involvement in FelineVMA (Cat Friendly Practice), HABRI, CATalyst Council, or other feline‑focused education and advocacy efforts.
  • Partner Veterinarians should have a minimum of 5 years of clinical practice.
What We Offer
  • Competitive base salary starting at $120,000 annually (higher for Partner Veterinarians)
  • Profit sharing opportunities for all Care Team members
  • Generous sign‑on options available with relocation assistance and other ongoing bonus opportunities.
  • Comprehensive benefits: health, dental, vision.
  • Generous PTO, parental leave, and CE allowance.
  • Licensure, membership dues, and liability coverage paid.
  • Full support for Cat Friendly and specialty certifications
  • Equity opportunities for Partner Veterinarians
Our Promise

You will help shape not only a clinic, but a movement. You will be supported, celebrated, and empowered to do your best work in an environment designed to elevate feline medicine and the people who make it possible. Let’s build something extraordinary. Together.
