Personal Support Worker / Social and Health Services (ASSS) – Law 90 – Greater Gatineau Area Place : Ottawa, Canada (home and partner establishments): The cities of Pointe-Gatineau, Gatineau, Touraine, the village of Templeton, the municipalities of Templeton-West, Templeton-East and Templeton-East-East Part. Our teams provide services in homes and institutions, offering compassionate, respectful, and safe care through interdisciplinary collaboration. Your responsibilities: Providing hygiene, comfort and assistance care to beneficiaries (washing, feeding, mobility, dressing). Observe the general state of health and report any abnormalities to the nurse or doctor. To support people's autonomy and contribute to their daily well-being. Preventing risks related to immobility (repositioning, mobilization). Maintain a clean and safe environment by applying hygiene and aseptic protocols. To foster a caring and respectful environment for beneficiaries and their families. Working as a team with nurses, doctors and other healthcare professionals. Desired profile: DEP in Personal Assistance in Institutions and at Home (APED/APA) completed OR recognition of training equivalency (according to the legal framework in Quebec). CPR and PDSB (Principles of Safe Patient Handling) completed or ready to be followed. Experience in a hospital setting, long-term care facility, private residence or home (an asset, but not mandatory for beginners). Empathy, listening, patience and respect for vulnerable people. Team spirit, rigor and a sense of responsibility. Fluency in French (spoken and written); other languages an asset. Driving licence and mobility (required for home care positions).
