Job description

Black Swan Logistics is a Contracted Service Provider for FedEx Ground. We make last mile deliveries to homes and businesses under FedEx Ground branding from the FedEx Ground terminal located at 8787 Grand Parkway N, Cypress Tx 77433

We are accepting applications for full or part-time hourly and salaried Delivery Drivers. 

7 days a week availability. Must be flexible on hourly schedule 4 or 5 day work week. Hourly positions starting at $15/hr-$17/hr based on experience

Salaried positions also based on experience starting at $120-$150 day

Typical day starts at 8:30am, until all assigned packages have been delivered and picked up.

No CDL is required. Driving experience is preferred. Must be dependable.

Responsibilities:

  • Load all packages onto assigned vehicle in the morning
  • Safely and efficiently drive vehicle to delivery locations (businesses and residences)
  • Greet customers in a friendly fashion (when applicable)
  • Deliver packages in an appropriate drop-off area (e.g. front door), obliging customer requests and obtaining signatures when necessary
  • Problem-solve loading and delivery issues, navigational discrepancies, and customer requests
  • Conduct daily DOT pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicle and report defects to Lead Driver or Manager
  • Clean out vehicle at the end of each day
  • Clean vehicle exterior quarterly
  • Monitor vehicle for maintenance (oil changes, tire replacement, etc.) and notify Lead Driver or Manager
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

Requirements:

This is a physical, fast-paced, outdoor position that involves continual lifting, lowering, maneuvering, and/or carrying packages that typically weigh 50 lbs. and may weigh up to 150 lbs. Drivers must have excellent customer contact and driving skills. Drivers are also expected to comply with FedEx appearance guidelines.

Minimum Requirements: 

  • Pass a background check
  • Have a driver’s license
  • Pass a drug screen
  • Must be 21
  • Pass a DOT Physical or have a MED card

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Have 1 year paid driving experience in a cargo van-sized vehicle or larger
  • Be personable and presentable
  • Be extremely dependable
  • Be a problem-solver
  • Have map-reading and navigation skills
  • Be a team player
  • Adapt quickly and efficiently to short-notice changes
