Farms Administrator

Shift: 1st

Schedule: Monday - Friday, weekends as needed to support operations

Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM / flex as needed

This position is eligible for overtime pay and is paid weekly

The Farms Administrator supports Live Operations by managing flock data, coordinating reporting, and serving as a central communication hub across Farms, Feed Mill, Procurement, and Load & Haul. This role ensures data accuracy, supports USDA compliance, and maintains efficient front desk operations to enable reliable flock performance tracking and smooth daily operations.

  • Maintain flock data in the MTech system and manage brooder-to-finish flock transfers while generating and distributing key operational reports such as mortality tracking, plant attainment, and daily processing results.
  • Perform mortality analysis to support USDA indemnification and internal performance reporting.
  • Prepare and manage residue avoidance packets, including pesticide and antibiotic samples, maintain web ID tracking, coordinate USDA clearance processes, and submit health certificates to Iowa State University.
  • Support pre-harvest documentation, compliance mailings, and shipment of sample kits to out-of-state producers. Create and print labeling for the in-house serology lab.
  • Maintain documentation supporting biosecurity and animal welfare standards and provide administrative support to Live Operations and Feed Mill teams.
  • Serve as the front desk point of contact by greeting visitors, answering, and directing calls, coordinating mail and shipments (UPS/FedEx), maintaining visitation logs, and ensuring facility access compliance.
  • Support general office operations, including supply management, filing, and calendar coordination
  • Monthly reconciliation of chemical and antibiotic inventory while maintaining 5S inventory levels.

Education: High School diploma required.

Experience: 2 plus years of administrative/office experience. Data entry experience is a must.

Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred but not required.

Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word).

Special Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to catch discrepancies quickly.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced plant environment.

Position Specific Requirements:

Internal disqualifiers are the following:

  • Must not have 4 or more attendance points for locations on an 8 point policy (on application date)
  • No written warning in the past six (6) months
  • No suspension on record for the last 12 months

This position is slated for candidates who are currently working at this facility. Priority consideration will be provided to these applicants first. If local Team Members are not selected, Team Members from other locations will then be reviewed for consideration.
