Warehouse / Backup Delivery Driver
Copper State Bolt & Nut Company is seeking a dependable, organized, and team-oriented Warehouse / Backup Delivery Driver to join our team.
This is primarily a general warehouse position with occasional backup delivery driving. You will be responsible for material handling, order pulling, stocking, receiving, shipping, inventory, and preparing customer orders. When needed, you will also provide backup delivery and pickup services for customers, branches, and suppliers.
Fastener or industrial distribution experience is a plus, but not required.
What You'll Do
Warehouse Responsibilities
  • Pick, pack, stage, and prepare customer orders for shipment or delivery.
  • Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently.
  • Receive inbound shipments and verify products and quantities.
  • Stock products accurately in designated warehouse locations.
  • Assist with inventory management, product returns, and inventory accuracy.
  • Use RF scanners and computer systems to accurately record products, quantities, warehouse locations, and inventory information.
  • Review customer inventory and stocking locations as needed.
  • Generate replenishment orders and prepare products for delivery and stocking.
  • Pull and stage Will Call and delivery orders in a timely manner.
  • Assist with outbound shipments, including UPS, FedEx, LTL/freight, and customer deliveries.
  • Assist customers with Will Call orders.
  • Ensure products are properly packaged and secured for shipment.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse.
  • Work closely with Receiving, Shipping, Order Pulling, and other warehouse team members to maintain an efficient workflow.
Backup Delivery Driving
When needed, provide backup delivery and pickup services for customers, branches, and suppliers.
  • Follow delivery priorities and schedules established by the Warehouse Supervisor.
  • Safely load, secure, transport, and unload products.
  • Verify that the correct products and quantities are delivered.
  • Complete required delivery and pickup paperwork, including customer signatures and receiving documents.
  • Use RF scanners to document orders loaded onto the vehicle and completed deliveries.
  • Communicate delivery issues, delays, or other concerns to the Warehouse Supervisor.
  • Follow all company driving and safety procedures.
Accuracy & Communication
  • Accurately record product, quantities, inventory locations, and traceability information.
  • Identify and report inventory discrepancies or products that cannot be located.
  • Ask for Supervisor assistance when products are unavailable or inventory information does not match.
  • Communicate delivery delays, order issues, and inventory concerns promptly.
  • Report safety hazards immediately to a Supervisor or Manager.
  • Work effectively as part of a team to maintain a productive and efficient warehouse.
Qualifications
  • Minimum age of 21 due to occasional delivery driving responsibilities.
  • Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
  • Previous warehouse, shipping, receiving, delivery, or material-handling experience preferred.
  • Fastener, industrial distribution, or related product experience is a plus.
  • Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment; forklift experience is a plus.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn RF scanners and warehouse systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Dependable attendance and willingness to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

CDL Requirement: A CDL may be required for certain delivery assignments. Employees operating a commercial vehicle requiring a CDL must maintain a valid CDL and current DOT Medical Certificate as required.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and move boxes, products, and other materials weighing 50+ pounds.
  • Ability to stand and walk for most of an 8-hour or longer shift.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, crouching, squatting, lifting, carrying, and climbing in and out of delivery vehicles.
  • Ability to load and unload products safely.
  • Ability to sit and drive for extended periods when performing delivery duties.
Schedule
Shift requirements may vary during certain times of the year to accommodate customer and business needs. Overtime may be required and must be authorized by a Supervisor.
Pre-Employment Requirements
All positions require successful completion of a mandatory pre-employment drug and alcohol screening and background check.
A motor vehicle record (MVR) check is required for positions involving company vehicle operation.
