Job description

Driver Helper

The Driver Helper role is responsible for assisting the driver in the safe operation and delivery of smaller loads of products to our local store locations and merchandising the product within the store location. This route requires fingerprinting of freight, no driving of a vehicle.

Position Specifics:

  • Pay Rate: $16.20 per hour.
  • Hours/Days of Work: Monday through Friday, 40+ hours per week
  • Location: Versailles, KY

Essential functions:

  • Ride with the Driver to store locations and partner with the Driver to ensure that the truck is operated safely.
  • Merchandise products within the store facility to prepare for customer purchase.
  • Coordinate delivery of products with local distribution management
  • All other duties as reasonably assigned by the Supervisor.

Requirements

Qualified individuals for this role will possess the following characteristics:

  • Self-motivated to be safe and effective on the job.
  • Desire to work in an individual atmosphere for a large percentage of the worktime.
  • Medical cards are not required.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis.
  • Customer focused mentality and strong desire to meet retailer needs through on time product delivery.
