We are currently supporting our client in hiring a Logistics Specialist in Detroit (Howell), Michigan 

What we are looking for:

  • Responsible for the organization and cleanliness of their assigned inventory areas,
  • Maintain records as required by the quality system
  • Appropriately package and ship equipment to our customers and vendors.
  • Receive, unpack, and account for the contents of all inbound orders.
  • Verify the accuracy of incoming shipments against documentation and identify discrepancies.

  • Research and implement shipping options for unusual packaging situations or customers' requests
    and requirements.
  • Receive and handle vendor deliveries, completing paperwork as needed.
  • Initiate and manage shipping claims through to resolution, including maintaining customer contact.
  • Use UPS (WorldShip) and FedEx to generate shipping labels.
  • Maintain relationships with UPS, FedEx, and any other relevant parcel sales contacts.
  •  Performs database equipment entry and validations. Verify manufacturer/model/serial.

  • Provide backup delivery driver responsibilities, including driving various routes to transport.
  • Perform other duties as requested.

Qualifications for this position: 

  • Must have a Valid State driver's license and a good driving record
  • Must be able to drive a company vehicle for pickup and delivery routes as needed
  • Experience using an asset management system
  • Experience using shipping software such as UPS WorldShip or FedEx
  • Previous experience in dealing with customers.
  • Previous work experience in a shipping and receiving role
  • Data Entry experience, as you will use the system
