What is Federal Work Study?

Federal Work Study is a need-based financial aid program in the United States that provides part-time jobs for undergraduate and graduate students. Eligibility for Federal Work Study is determined through the FAFSA application process, and jobs typically offer flexible hours to accommodate class schedules. The wages earned are paid directly to the student and do not automatically reduce tuition or other billed costs. Participation in the program can also provide valuable work experience and networking opportunities.
