Job description

Student Worker - Vocal Music (Choir)
The Blinn College District is searching for a Student Worker - Vocal Music (Choir) at our Brenham Campus.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities are listed below:
Job Summary
Assist the vocal music program with various tasks relating to its execution. This position reports to the Choir Director and, if needed, Director of Vocal Studies.
Principal Accountabilities
  • Maintain and organize the choral library including filing music, adding music to the filing system, and maintaining music and items in proper order including online records
  • Assist in the organization and administration of the annual music contests.
  • Oversee set up for public events at the Schmidt Building
  • Monitor Schmidt Building after business hours for student usage/practice
  • Complete office duties as assigned
  • Complete other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications/ Required Degree, License or Certifications
  • Students should be enrolled full-time, including vocal ensemble courses, and be eligible for the Federal Work Study program as a part of their financial aid.

Minimum Competencies
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience organizing a choral library
  • Knowledge of how to set up equipment such as choral risers
  • Ability to direct others in a team setting.
