Job description

Job Responsibilities
  1. Leads assigned programs from project award through launch, and support through end of program.

  1. Has thorough understanding, documentation, and attainment of both external clients and internal stakeholders' requirements for quality, capacity, timing, and product characteristics.

  1. Develops from the requirements a clear path with task breakdown, assigned owners, budget, timing, and major milestones.

  1. Assess project feasibility by analyzing technology, resource needs, and market demand.

  1. Manages proactive customer communications (meetings, reports, etc.) building working relationships with open and honest communication.

  1. Anticipates any issues and roadblocks to communicate to internal and external customers.

  1. Initiate and obtain approval of Major Expenditure Authorizations (MEAs) for program related equipment and tooling.

  1. Ensure compliance with IATF16949, MEC's APQP and other applicable procedures and policies including completion of gate approvals.

  1. May perform other duties as assigned.

Job Skills Requirements
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as MS Project.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of metal fabrication techniques, including weldments, laser cutting, and press brake operations.

  • Experience in implementing and optimizing business processes is required.

  • Six Sigma Greenbelt or Blackbelt certification is highly desired.

  • Proficient with MRP systems, Microsoft Office Products, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

  • Time management and interpersonal skills are required.

Educational Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field.

Experience Requirements
  • Minimum of two years of project management experience.
