We are looking for Senior Solutions Engineer for our client in Durham, NC

Job Title: Senior Solutions Engineer

Job Location: Durham, NC

Job Type: Contract

Job Overview:

Requirement/Must Have:

  • 1+ years of experience creating effort estimates and detailed project plans for development initiatives, enhancements, and modernization work.
  • 8+ years of development experience in AWS, J2EE and related technologies.
  • 5+ years of experience leading development of new technical solutions as the program moves into application modernization.
  • 5+ years of experience facilitating communication with stakeholders.
  • 3+ years of experience with low-code/no-code tools for responsive user interface development.
  • 5+ years of experience with Agile development.
  • 5+ years of development experience in Curam.
  • 4+ years of experience in translating complex business requirements and policy rules into clear, actionable functional and technical specifications.
  • 3+ years of knowledge in DevOps practices and Shift Left testing.
  • 1+ years of experience implementing GenAI solutions, including those built on AWS Bedrock, to support worker assistance, knowledge retrieval, and decision support.
  • 5+ years of experience with Medicaid Eligibility and hands-on implementation experience with large programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver technical leadership and hands-on development across multiple modernization and enhancement efforts.
  • Lead the design of solutions to support various Medicaid initiatives to ensure it is scalable, reusable, and compliant with federal and state guidelines.
  • Possess strong knowledge of Medicaid Eligibility and hands-on implementation experience with large Medicaid programs.
  • Provide accurate effort estimates and detailed project plans for development initiatives, enhancements, and modernization work.
  • Support development of new technical solutions as the program moves into application modernization, including the use of AWS-based tools, automated processing of paper application forms, API development using Dell Boomi, MuleSoft, and similar integration platforms, and low-code/no-code tools for responsive user interface development.
  • Facilitate communication between program, policy, and technical teams to reduce misunderstandings and rework.
  • Recommend and support optimization strategies to improve system responsiveness, throughput, and overall user experience.
