Job Description
Cape Fox subsidiary, Kwaan Tech, LLC, is seeking a highly organized and motivated Financial Analyst to join our team in support of a NAVSEA Naval Shipyard Support Office (NSSO) client. This role requires strong knowledge of government financial management, budgeting, and cost analysis, program resource planning and budget execution for ship maintenance programs, while providing programming, resource planning, and budget management services, supporting financial data calls, cost analyses, and budget reporting, and managing program financial deliverables and cost tracking. This position is contingent upon award. Incumbents are encouraged to apply!
The salary range (or hiring range) for this exempt position is: $85,000-100,692
The above salary range represents the company's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. In addition, we offer a variety of benefits, including company holidays, paid time off, health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, life and disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, as well as a 401K with company match. Core Duties:
  • Analyzes and interprets financial data to advise and support strategic decision-making and achieve business objectives
  • Ensures all financial reporting, operations, and transactions maintain compliance with organizational and regulatory financial policies, standards, and controls
  • Utilizes financial modeling and analytical tools to measure and forecast the impact of various economic scenarios, risks, and business changes
  • Tracks variances between financial projections and actual results to identify and troubleshoot differences and recommend adjustments or improvements
  • Prepares balance sheets, income statements, cash flow analyses, and other financial reports to assess company performance and financial health
  • Provide programming, resource planning, and budget management services
  • Support responses to various data calls and financial inquiries
  • Gather task data, measure planned versus actual performance, and support re-baselining schedules as required
  • Support cost-benefit analyses for process improvement initiatives
  • Assist with SMPG budget management and financial reporting
  • Support development of Cost Performance metrics and analytics
  • Prepare financial inputs for monthly and quarterly cost and status reports
  • Support program reviews with financial analysis and budget status
  • Assist with resource planning across NSSO program activities
  • Perform financial analysis in support of SMPG mission objectives

Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or related field
  • 4 - 7 years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting, or program financial management
  • Highly Desired Qualifications (If applicable)
    • Master's Degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field
    • 8 years of experience in government financial management
    • 3 years of experience supporting government or DoD financial program
    • Experience with Navy or NAVSEA financial systems
    • Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM) or similar certification
    • Experience with SABRS (Shipyard Automated Budget Reporting System)
  • Must have an Active Secret Security Clearance
  • Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
