A Feature Story Writer researches, writes, and edits in-depth articles that go beyond breaking news to explore topics in detail. They focus on storytelling, often highlighting human interest angles, background information, and comprehensive analysis. Feature stories can appear in newspapers, magazines, or online publications and require strong interviewing, writing, and investigative skills. These writers often spend significant time gathering information and crafting engaging narratives.
