Job description

Product Compliance Coordinator
Atlanta, GA | Momar, Inc.

Momar, Inc., a specialty chemical manufacturer, is seeking a Product Compliance Coordinator to join our regulatory team. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone who wants to build a career in chemical regulatory compliance, working alongside experienced technical professionals across the company.

About the Role

Reporting to the Chief Product Line Officer, you'll support Momar's regulatory compliance efforts by assisting with documentation, recordkeeping, and reporting on industrial chemical products. You'll collaborate across Technical, Production, Operations, Logistics, and Safety — and full training will be provided so you can grow into the role's technical demands.

What You'll Do

  • Assist the Technical team in preparing, reviewing, and maintaining Safety Data Sheets (SDS), product labels, and other regulatory documentation
  • Respond to routine internal compliance questions and route complex issues to the right technical staff
  • Maintain organized electronic records, databases, logs, and regulatory files
  • Learn federal, state, and international chemical regulations through on-the-job training and professional development
  • Partner with the technical team to monitor and characterize new and revised chemical regulations, ensuring compliance for affected raw materials and finished goods
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives supporting regulatory compliance, product stewardship, and sustainable chemistry
  • Coordinate with IT and Logistics to ensure domestic and international shipments meet regulatory requirements, including Reportable Quantities (RQs) and Hazmat packaging
  • Take on additional administrative and compliance-related projects as assigned

What You'll Bring

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Strong analytical, organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills
  • Strong work ethic, task-oriented and results-driven
  • Ability to research and clearly communicate complex technical issues, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize across multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree (BS) in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, or related field preferred; non-STEM degrees will be considered, and recent graduates are encouraged to apply
  • A genuine interest in learning the global chemical regulatory environment and compliance processes (e.g., chemical notification, registration) is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as DOT, IMDG, IATA, GHS, FDA, CLP, TSCA, FIFRA, EPA, CalRecycle RPPC, NJ RPL, or VOC CARB/OTC is a plus, but not required

Physical Requirements

Ability to occasionally lift/move up to 10 lbs. unassisted. Frequently required to stand, sit, use hands/fingers, reach, stoop, and bend.

Equal Employment Opportunity

Momar, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer, including disability/veterans (EOE/Vets/Disability).

Momar provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type. As a federal contractor, Momar is committed to affirmative action for individuals with disabilities and protected veterans in accordance with Section 503 of the Rehabilitation Act and the Vietnam Era Veterans' Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA).
