Current Washington State Educational Staff Associate (ESA) certificate as a school nurse, current Washington RN license, current first aid/CPR and CPR/First Aid Instructor certification or willingness to obtain. Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from an accredited college or university. School nurse experience in public or private schools preferred. Washington State Patrol and FBI criminal background clearance required. Current Washington State driver's license and proof of liability insurance required.
Employment Conditions:
While performing the duties of this job, employee will regularly sit, stand, and walk. Specific vision requirements for this position include close vision. The noise level in this environment is occasionally quiet to moderate. The employee is frequently required to interact with the public and other staff. Occasionally requires the ability to lift and carry a maximum of 25 pounds.
Hazards: The employee has direct responsibility for the safety and well-being of others. Work is typically performed in an office/classroom environment, and employee is required to deal with a wide range of student achievement and behavior; required to be flexible with tasks and priorities; may need to deal with distraught or difficult individuals; potential exposure to ordinary infectious diseases carried by students.
