Civil Construction Foreman
Location: Phoenix, AZ
Tower Engineering Professionals is seeking a full-time Civil Construction Foreman in our Phoenix, AZ office. As a Civil Construction Foreman, you will serve as an integral member of our design/build team. Tower Engineering Professionals offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical and dental insurance, paid vacation and holidays, 401k with company match, and a relaxed, fun environment.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Must have experience running teams of civil crews and solving team issues.
  • Ability to manage and forecast labor hours for crew members to keep projects within company budget.
  • Knowledge of the hazards associated with tower climbing, construction equipment, and working near energized lines and equipment.
  • Ability to operate heavy machinery and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must have experience with all aspects of tower construction, steel fabrication, and antenna equipment installation.
  • Ability to use and maintain hand tools and mechanical equipment.
  • Ability to effectively report verbal and written reports back to manager.
  • Must have experience with completing “close out” packages.
  • Must maintain level of excellence in crew’s quality of work and mindset.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • 4+ years of experience in construction.
  • Candidate must be comfortable with traveling and being away from your home base for periods of time as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Must have High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be at least 21 years old, have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record to operate a company vehicle
  • 4+ years of Civi/Construction experience
Essential Functions
  • Manage the day-to-day activities of a group of Tower Construction Technicians ensuring that a quality installation or maintenance has been performed, including rigging, hoisting, landing, fastening, load-hopping
  • Manage and work on communications towers for installing, replacing, repairing structural systems, antenna installations and civil inspections.
  • Analyze situations accurately and adopt an appropriate course of action
  • Follow instructions accurately and complete assigned course of action
  • Recognize safety hazards and perform duties in a safe manner
  • Analyze field data and complete closeout reports with the use of MS Word/ Excel and Adobe PDF
