Job description

Software Engineer – Data Analytics This role supports a fast‑paced environment focused on improving mission processes for the customer. The organization emphasizes discovery, rapid problem solving, and enabling activities across a wide range of technical domains. The successful candidate will design and deliver custom applications that provide data visualization, workflow automation, and enhanced mission awareness for mission‑critical activities. Job Roles
  • Develop scripts and analytics to generate novel insights in response to unique and evolving mission questions.
  • Discover, aggregate, and integrate data from disparate sources into new and existing tools.
  • Design and develop new user interfaces and data visualizations to improve customer understanding and decision‑making.
  • Elicit requirements and collect feedback directly from end users and mission stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with other DAT teams and quality control groups to share expertise and elevate overall team performance.
  • Design, implement, and support solutions across the full development lifecycle. Job Requirements
  • Experience developing in Python, with an emphasis on data transformation and analytics.
  • Experience building frontend web applications using JavaScript or TypeScript, preferably with React.
  • Experience querying and developing in large‑scale or big‑data environments.
  • Experience developing on and managing Linux servers.
  • Experience using AWS or other cloud platforms.
  • Experience with additional programming languages or frameworks such as Java, FastAPI, Angular, or Spring Boot.
  • Knowledge of AI/ML concepts and big‑data tools such as DuckDB, Polars, Pandas, or Spark. Education & Experience
  • 12 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, or four (4) additional years of experience in lieu of a degree.
