Job description

Job Title: Fast Food Attendant (FFA)

Department:Food and Beverage Operations, Turnpikes

Pay Rate: $15.00

Reports To:Concept Manager

Status: Non-Exempt


Broad Functions: The Fast-Food Attendant is responsible for performing a variety of duties within a fast food / snack bar establishment which may include completing customer transactions, cleaning the food or stock areas, food preparation and cooking, working the line, and stocking product. Performs all other responsibilities as directed by the business or as assigned by management.


Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Greets customers and takes food order; provides information about menus; looks for opportunity to "up-sell" products.
  • Strives to meet CORE model to serve guests: eye contact, smiles, speak enthusiastically, stays connected.
  • Accurately and efficiently cooks meats, fish, vegetables, soups and other hot food products and prepares/portions food products prior to cooking, from start to final plate.
  • Prepares a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, and other food items for cooking in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers, and a variety of other kitchen equipment.
  • Operates cash register and receives payment from customer in cash or credit card, accurately counts and provides change to customers as required, and follows all Areas Guest Experience and cash handling policies and procedures
  • Cleans and stocks work area
  • Assists in locating, reconciling, and verifying the accuracy of transactions and operate equipment with peripheral electronic data processing. Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas by hand or cart
  • Assists with a variety of kitchen-related functions as needed including product assembly and food prep.
  • Mix ingredients using a blending machine or manually kneading to achieve uniform mixture.
  • Roll, cut, and shape dough according to desired sizes before placing in pans, molds, or on sheets for heating.
  • Place dough in pans, molds, or on sheets before depositing in ovens for baking.
  • Receives inventory, moves, and lifts food and beverage products and supplies; maintain a solid knowledge of product and services available in unit
  • stocking, storing, rotating, and checking temperature of products
  • Cleans and sanitizes workstation and equipment
  • Cleans/washes dishes, cutlery, utensils, pots, pans, and all other cooking tools.


Skills and Qualifications:

  1. H.S. Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  2. Cashier experience in a food and beverage environment highly desirable.
  3. Excellent guest service abilities while working directly with the public.
  4. Basic mathematics skills with the ability to add, subtract, multiply, or divide quickly and correctly.
  5. Able to develop cooperative working relationships with others.
  6. Able to stand for long periods of time.
