Job description

Role Overview

Sodexo Senior Living is seeking a Food Operations Manager 1 for Garden Spot Village, a beautiful and growing upscale continuing care retirement community located in New Holland, Pennsylvania.  This position will mainly oversee front-of-house dining operations and will assist in the kitchen. Will report to the General Manager and manage a total staff of approximately 65 hourly employees.  Typical schedule will be 9:30am - 6:00pm, may vary with occasional weekend coverage and some holidays.

What You'll Do
  • have oversight of daily operations of 3 dining rooms;
  • oversee frontline staff and dining service areas;
  • assist with menu printing/distribution;
  • cash management / POS system;
  • assist at Refresh Coffee Shop;
  • achieve company and client financial targets and goals;
  • develop and maintain client and customer relationships;
  • create a positive environment; and
  • ensure Sodexo Standards are met.

  • two or more years of prior food service management experience;
  • basic culinary knowledge;

  • the ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service;
  • proficient in computer skills, POS systems and report management experience.
