Job Description

We’re looking for an Account Manager to join AZIONE’s Fashion Division on the Media + Brand team, supporting a portfolio of consumer fashion, retail, and contemporary designer accounts. This is not a traditional publicity role. It’s a strategic, culturally plugged-in position for someone who understands how fashion brands build relevance today across media, retail, celebrity, partnerships, and consumer conversation.

You should have a strong pulse on the evolving fashion and media landscape, from luxury and contemporary fashion to retail disruption, creator influence, and cultural storytelling. You know how to translate a brand’s product, founder story, business growth, or campaign into meaningful editorial opportunities and culturally resonant moments.

You understand the modern media ecosystem across:

  • Fashion + retail media
  • Business + consumer press
  • Thought leadership & Founder positioning 
  • Cultural relevance + commercial impact

You don’t simply react to trends, you anticipate where the conversation is headed and position brands at the center of it.

Key Responsibilities

Client Leadership & Growth
  • Lead day-to-day management of media and brand workstreams across consumer fashion, retail, and contemporary designer accounts
  • Partner with senior leadership to execute integrated communications strategies aligned with client goals and KPIs
  • Contribute to identifying growth opportunities including campaigns, launches, partnerships, experiential activations, and cultural moments
  • Manage timelines, deliverables, and client communication with precision and strong attention to detail
  • Lead client calls, status meetings, showroom appointments, desksides, previews, and media-facing moments alongside senior leadership
Media Strategy & Cultural Relevance
  • Drive proactive media outreach across fashion, retail, business, lifestyle, trade, and culture verticals to secure meaningful coverage and brand visibility
  • Develop compelling story angles spanning product launches, executive thought leadership, retail growth, cultural trends, partnerships, and industry shifts
  • Identify and shepherd editorial opportunities tied to broader conversations happening across fashion, consumer behavior, retail, luxury, and culture
  • Support the development and execution of integrated campaigns inclusive of media relations, affiliate, partnerships, and experiential
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the evolving media landscape, including how traditional press, affiliate, and social conversation intersect
  • Help secure culturally relevant brand moments that extend beyond traditional PR into broader conversation and visibility
Execution Excellence
  • Oversee day-to-day execution of launches, campaigns, partnerships, events, and editorial initiatives from concept through completion
  • Draft and edit pitches, media alerts, briefing documents, recaps, and client materials with a strong understanding of tone, positioning, and audience
  • Manage media tracking, reporting, and coverage analysis to demonstrate both qualitative and quantitative impact
  • Ensure all client materials and communications are polished, accurate, strategic, and aligned with brand positioning
  • Monitor fashion, retail, media, and cultural trends daily, proactively surfacing opportunities and insights to clients and internal teams
Networking & Relationship Building
  • Continuously grow a high-value network across:
    • Fashion editors and writers
    • Retail, business, and trade media
    • Brand and cultural partners
  • Be recognized as someone who is highly responsive, well-connected, strategic, and solutions-oriented
Leadership
  • Mentor and support junior team members across account management, media strategy, and execution

  • 5+ years of experience across fashion PR, media relations, brand communications, or integrated marketing
  • Direct experience supporting fashion, retail, contemporary designer, or lifestyle accounts
  • Strong relationships and familiarity with fashion, retail, business, and culture media landscapes
  • Understanding of how fashion brands build relevance today across media, celebrity, creator ecosystems, partnerships, and experiential
  • Strong instincts for storytelling, trend forecasting, and identifying culturally relevant opportunities
  • Experience working across launches, fashion week, partnerships, retail moments, and executive visibility initiatives
  • Exceptional writing, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple fast-moving priorities simultaneously in a high-pressure environment
