POSITION PURPOSE.

This intermediate level role supports the accurate calculation and processing of commission and sales incentive payments. The role will assist in maintaining commission systems, resolving discrepancies, responding to producer commission inquiries, data analysis, and testing system enhancements to support business operations.

How You Contribute to the Company's Mission In This Role

  • Support the processing of commission and sales incentive payments across various product lines.
  • Responds to routine inquiries from internal stakeholders regarding commission questions.
  • Identifies discrepancies between commission agreements and system calculations.
  • Supports audit requests and data gathering as needed.
  • Tests and validates system enhancements.
  • Gathers data for audit requests to present accurate and timely reporting.

Required Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Human Resources or related field required
  • Four years of related experience can be used in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.

Work Experience

  • 2 years of related experience with commission, incentive or payroll system is required.
  • Experience in the health insurance industry is preferred.

Skills and Abilities

  • Strong verbal and written communication, organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to accomplish tasks under time constraints and shifting priorities while ensuring accuracy
  • Must have working knowledge of Microsoft applications (e.g., Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) with a high level of competency in Excel.
  • Capacity to adapt plans and approaches based on new information or changing circumstances
  • Ability to work cohesively in a team environment
  • Must be able to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive and financial information
  • Ability to escalate issues as appropriate and in a timely fashion

Accountabilities and Essential Functions

  • Daily operation and maintenance of the Commission System to include data entry, loading files, reviewing validation reports, reviewing payment information, and related tasks
  • First tier support of issues/questions from producers and various internal personnel regarding commission system calculations via email and/or phone
  • Communication between various internal departments for research and troubleshooting
  • Gathers data for audit requests to present accurate and timely reporting.
  • Tests system enhancements during quarterly releases and as needed
  • Responsible for timely and accurate completion of work tasks assigned.
  • Participates in special projects, as assigned by management, to improve Commissions policies and procedures.
