Position:ย Quality Lab Tech
Duration:ย Contract
Location:ย Pooler, GA
ย 
We are seeking a detail-orientedย Quality Lab Technicianย with expertise inย Faro Arm measurement systemsย to ensure precision and compliance with engineering specifications. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding ofย technical drawings, the ability toย interpret geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), and proficiency in working with theย metric system. This role is critical to maintaining product quality and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Performย dimensional inspectionsย using Faro Arm and other precision measurement tools.
  2. Interpretย engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements accurately.
  3. Verify parts and assemblies againstย customer and internal quality standards.
  4. Document inspection results and maintain accurate records in compliance with quality procedures.
  5. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
  6. Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of measurement equipment.
  7. Adhere toย safety protocolsย and maintain a clean, organized lab environment.
  8. Supportย root cause analysisย and continuous improvement projects.

Required Qualifications
  1. High school diploma or equivalent;ย technical certification or associate degreeย preferred.
  2. Hands-on experience withย Faro Armย or similar portable CMM systems.
  3. Strong knowledge ofย metric measurementsย and conversion principles.
  4. Ability to read and interpretย technical drawings and GD&T symbols.
  5. Proficiency inย measurement softwareย (e.g., CAM2 or similar).
  6. Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting.
  7. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills
  1. Experience inย aerospace, automotive, or precision manufacturingย environments.
