Job description

We are small, farm-based events and dining company. We operate on premise at Blooming Hill Farm in Blooming Grove, NY. The farm uses around 100 acres of land in Blooming Grove and Chester, NY and grows a very wide variety of organic produce. For many years the farm's sole business was selling produce wholesale to restaurants and retail at farmer's markets in the Hudson Valley, New York City, & the surrounding area. In recent years we have branched out to also offer on farm dining, private events & open to the public functions. We operate a year round on farm restaurant that is open in conjunction with our farm store and we host fully catered outdoor events from May through the end of October.
We center the food and events that we offer around the things we grow and attempt to source anything that we don't produce ourselves from the highest quality farmers & purveyors.
We are currently seeking a full time dining room floor manager for our farm to table restaurant. This is a full time salaried position that pays a base salary of 68-72k depending on experience. In terms of days per week and hours this would be a minimum of 5 days, 40 hours per week and potentially up to 50 hours per week- to be determined by the restaurant schedule for a given week. Our days open at the restaurant are Wed-Sun so availability on site on those days is a must. In this position you would work closely with our restaurant director/head of restaurant operations and the rest of our restaurant team to successfully run the restaurant/dining room in a profitable manner that provides a high quality dining & culinary experience to guests.
This is a floor manager/junior manager position, but we are growing company and their will be opportunity to move up should the candidate be a good fit for our organization.
We would like someone for this position who has at least two years of front of house restaurant management experience. Experience at a fine dining establishment, farm to table establishment, or Italian influenced establishment are all great additions, but not required.
The salary range starts at 68k and goes up depending on the candidates qualifications. There will be a direct training period for this position, but full pay shall start as soon as an employment agreement is signed.
