So why not join our team and make a difference in your community. Description The Senior Landfill Heavy Equipment Operator operates light and heavy equipment and performs general laboring duties. Examples of Duties Operates a wheel loader, yard jockey truck, and trailer to process incoming waste to be hauled by contractor to out-of-county landfill site.

Operates excavator, wheel loader, bulldozer, and compactor to process inert waste. Operates a zero-turn mower and farm tractor/rotary mower to maintain landfill grounds. Operates weed eaters, hand blowers, edgers, chemical sprayers, pole saws, etc.

Serves on City Emergency Response Team as required. Provides direction and assistance to customers.
