Luxury Ranch Accountant
Fulltime, permanent position in Windhoek (Khomas Region) Namibia


Travel note: The property is accessible by gravel road for a portion of the route, about a 1.5-hour drive.

Compensation: Negotiable, based on experience. On-site housing and use of a vehicle may be provided.

Overview:
A privately owned agricultural enterprise in southern Namibia is seeking an experienced Accountant to manage the farm's financial operations, payroll, and recordkeeping. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting skills, experience in agricultural or rural business environments, and the ability to work independently in coordination with the farm's management and ownership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage monthly payroll processing and maintain accurate employee records.
  • Coordinate closely with the Ranch Manager for timesheet approvals and workforce reporting.
  • Prepare monthly and annual financial reports for ownership review.
  • Manage budgets, cost tracking, and expense forecasting.
  • Ensure compliance with local tax and labor regulations.
  • Support inventory and asset management for supplies, equipment, and farm materials.
  • Liaise with external auditors, banks, and suppliers when needed.
  • Oversee all accounting functions, including accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger management.

Qualifications and Skills:
  • Fluent in Afrikaans (required) and English (preferred).
  • Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Previous experience as an accountant, preferably within an agricultural, hospitality, or rural business environment.
