Role Description The Business Analyst will support operational, financial and strategic decision making for executive management team. This position partners with farm operations, food safety, supply chain, sales, and finance teams to analyze performance, improve processes, and deliver insights that drive productivity, yield optimization, cost control, and customer satisfaction. This role goes beyond reporting, the business analyst role requires one to translate complex operational and market data into a clear, compelling narrative that supports customer conversations, new product proposals, and executive decision-making. The role requires one to connect the dots between numbers and the narrative.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIES:

  • Analyze operational, financial, and production data across planting, harvesting, packing, cooling, and distribution activities.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, KPIs, and reporting tools for farm operations, yield performance, labor efficiency, and inventory management.
  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities related to crop yields, shrink, quality, labor utilization, and transportation costs.
  • Translate data and analysis into clear, persuasive narratives that connect performance trends to business decisions, not just charts and numbers
  • Partner with operations and management teams to improve business processes and operational efficiencies.
  • Support forecasting and planning activities, including acreage planning, harvest schedules, demand forecasting, and budget tracking.
  • Assist with cost analysis and profitability reporting by field, crop variety, customer, and growing region.
  • Collaborate with food safety, compliance, and quality teams to ensure accurate reporting and traceability documentation.
  • Work with ERP, inventory, and farm management systems to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Prepare presentations, business cases, and ad hoc analysis for leadership decision-making.
  • Monitor supply chain and market conditions affecting leafy greens production and distribution.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and cross-functional projects.
  • Resolve work problems and issues, along with ensuring compliance with all safety work rules and laws.
  • Create and foster a culture of safety, performance, and job satisfaction.
  • Must be familiar with and implement appropriate Food Safety and Safety programs and policies.
  • Maintain and update as needed, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
  • Follow all company policies.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Agriculture, Finance, Economics, Supply Chain, Data Analytics, or related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in business analysis, operations analysis, agriculture, produce, manufacturing, or supply chain environments.
  • Experience with Power Business Intelligence and ability to build, create and maintain all BI reports/dashboards.
  • Experience with Microsoft Access and Excel
  • Experience with SQL, data visualization tools, or agricultural software platforms.
  • Experience with ERP systems
  • Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills and Business Analysis capabilities to assess data, identify trends, and support decision-making.
  • Candidates should possess skills in Business Process evaluation and improvement to map workflows and recommend efficiencies.
