Job description
Sprayer-Floater Operator (Seasonal September 15th- November 25th, 2026)
For our Agro Department located in Brandon, MB
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with inquiries, product knowledge, and order processing; collaborate respectfully with Team Members to support a positive work environment and deliver a World Class Customer Experience.
- Safely operate spray equipment and accurately apply crop protection products in accordance with company procedures, manufacturer recommendations, and all applicable regulations.
- Load sprayer tanks, mix agricultural chemicals as required, maintain spray records, and ensure accurate documentation of product applications.
- Perform routine equipment inspections, cleaning, maintenance, and minor repairs to ensure equipment remains safe, efficient, and operational.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment by following Occupational Health and Safety, WHMIS, environmental, loss prevention, and security procedures.
- Work closely with the Agro Manager, Supervisors, and Team Members to support operational goals, meet customer needs, and maintain Heritage Co-op Brand Standards.
- Participate in seasonal operational activities and perform other duties as assigned to support the overall success of the Agro Centre.
Education and Experience:
- High school education is considered an asset.
- Previous agriculture, sprayer operation, or farm equipment experience is considered an asset.
- Customer service experience is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of agricultural chemicals, crop protection products, and chemical mixing procedures.
- Valid Class 1 or Class 3 Driver's Licence preferred.
- WHMIS training is required or willingness to obtain.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Commitment to ongoing learning and development within the agriculture industry.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to lift and carry items up to 23 kg (50 lbs.).
- Requires standing, walking, bending, climbing, and operating agricultural equipment for extended periods.
