Job description

Blooming Hill Farm is looking for a farm hand & grounds crew member to join our 60+ person team. We are a working produce farm, restaurant, event venue & agritourism destination. Our main property is in Blooming Grove, NY between Monroe and Washingtonville. We also have properties in Chester & New Windsor. Our ideal candidate is hardworking, a good team player & reliable.

Responsibilities of the Role:

  • Farm field work & maintenance on farm structures
  • Landscaping- mowing, tree pruning, grounds maintenance & more
  • Light construction work with use of power tools under instruction of our property manager
  • Clean up and set up for farm operations
  • Fixing an maintaining farm equipment & vehicles
  • Deliveries & shuttling of farm goods & materials to customer and between our farm properties

Qualifications

  • Experience as a laborer at a farm, landscaping company, construction company, etc.
  • Ability to show up on time and work hard & work as part of team
  • A driver's license and ability to drive farm vans and trucks on the property and between our different properties
  • Experience with tractors, mowers, and other farm and/or landscaping equipment is a plus, but not required
  • Experience with power tools & basic construction techniques also a plus, but not required
  • Willingness to learn new things and take instructions from the farm managers & owners- we can help you learn & develop new skills and knowledge in this role
