Our business includes dairy-beef calf raising, cattle finishing, broiler production, and row crop farming. We are looking for an Assistant Farm Manager who wants more than just a jobโ€”weโ€™re looking for someone who wants to become a key leader in our operation and help drive the farm forward.

Position Summary

The Assistant Farm Manager will work directly alongside ownership to oversee the daily operation of the livestock and crop enterprises. This individual will help coordinate employees, prioritize work, maintain high standards of animal care, and ensure the farm operates efficiently every day.
This position requires someone who is organized, mechanically inclined, dependable, and capable of making good decisions without constant supervision.

Primary Responsibilities

Livestock Operations

ยท Oversee daily cattle care and employee assignments.

ยท Monitor animal health and identify cattle requiring treatment.

ยท Ensure feeding, bedding, walking, and pen maintenance are completed to company standards.

ยท Coordinate cattle movements and facility utilization.

ยท Maintain treatment records and production information.

Equipment & Facilities

ยท Operate and maintain farm equipment.

ยท Perform preventative maintenance.

ยท Diagnose mechanical problems.

ยท Coordinate repairs and shop organization.

ยท Help manage equipment cleanliness and readiness.

Team Leadership

Crop Operations
