Job description

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for ensuring the proper farm placement of the workers on the 2nd shift, inputting accurate container counts, maintaining proper harvester workmanship, proper separation of containers and order fulfillment. Daily reporting to Harvesting Director is required.


Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • Education: Must be able to read and write in Spanish and/or English
  • Experience with training is preferred. 
  • Experience in mushroom harvesting is preferred.  

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate attendance records and communicate with Harvesting Management with requests for days off.
  • Must get an actual count the containers and enter the information accurately in the I-Harvest tablets.
  • Prior to taking a lunch, must make sure all containers are out of the house.
  • Must review all the containers for workmanship and in-weights. Extraneous material, sizing, miscuts, etc.
  • Houses need to be checked prior to moving to the next house to ensure proper harvesting procedures have been followed.  
  • Must understand and enforce company safety and food safety standards. 
  • Must arrive at least 15 minutes before the harvester start time to get the mushroom orders and prepare harvesting area.
  • Mushroom containers are being separated and stacked according to grade and size.
  • Needs to immediately report to Harvesting Management any social or physical issues with the team.
  • Make sure picking tickets are put into each container except for the opens.  
  • Responsible for making sure all orders are complete.
