Job description

Unique petting zoo needs an experienced individual to oversee petting zoo.
Job Details:
  • Experienced animal person with knowledge of all phases of operating an animal park.
  • Assist with feeding, cleaning, habitat maintenance, animal observation, and educational activities.
  • Knowledge of educational aspects of presenting our animals to visitors
  • Live-in position for single individual however would consider a couple if partner could assist with property maintenance.
  • Assist with after-hours animal needs when necessary.
  • Facility is located near beautiful tourist attraction near Lake Geneva WI

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and distribute animal diets according to established feeding schedules.
  • Clean and maintain animal enclosures, exhibits, and holding areas.
  • Observe and report changes in animal behavior, health, or appetite.
  • Assist with routine veterinary care and treatments as directed
  • Support enrichment activities to promote animal wellbeing.
  • Help with educational talks, tours, and visitor engagement.
  • Maintain accurate records of animal care and maintenance activities.
  • Follow all safety protocols and zoo guidelines.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • College degree helpful (especially in biology, zoology, animal science or related field).
