Description
The Cam Company is seeking a hands-on, reliable Farm Technician to support day-to-day operations at Anderson Farms. This is a maintenance-intensive role responsible for equipment operation, grounds upkeep, and animal care. The ideal candidate is comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions, has mechanical aptitude, and takes pride in keeping the farm running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
Equipment Operation & Maintenance
  • Safely operate tractors and attached implements (mowers, tillers, spreaders, etc.)
  • Perform routine maintenance and basic repairs on tractors, mowers, and other farm equipment
  • Conduct pre- and post-operation equipment inspections
  • Keep accurate maintenance logs and flag equipment issues for repair

Grounds & Property Maintenance
  • Mow, trim, and maintain grass and pasture areas across the property
  • Maintain fences, gates, walkways, and other farm infrastructure
  • Perform general upkeep of buildings, coops, and storage areas
  • Assist with seasonal maintenance projects (mulching, weeding, debris removal, etc.)

Animal Care
  • Tend to chickens, including feeding, watering, and coop maintenance
  • Monitor flock health and report concerns promptly
  • Maintain clean, safe living conditions for animals
  • Collect eggs and assist with basic animal husbandry tasks as needed

General Duties
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Follow all safety protocols when operating machinery

Qualifications
