Job description

Culinary Supervisor - State Farm Arena/Levy Restaurants

Starting Pay: $19.00 per hour. This is not tipped position. 

Schedule: Event Based - Part Time Schedule. Afternoon, nights, and weekends availability preferred. All Hawks home games and some holidays.

Requirements: The ideal candidate will have 2 years of experience in a professional kitchen, preferably in high-volume or upscale enviornments. Basic understanding of culinary techniques including grilling, sauteing, roasting, and knife skills. Familiarity with food safety and sanitation procedures. 

Qualifications

  • Ability to follow recipes, portion guidelines, and prep list accurately
  • Understand of cooking techniques, food safety, and kitchen equipment
  • Excellent time management and communication skills
  • Basic knowledge of food prep, plating, kitchen safety, and sanitation
  • Strong work ethic, organization, and attention to detail
  • Willingness to grow into a leadership role; prior supervisor experience is a plus
  • Lift/move materials and equipment up to 50 pounds
Job Summary


Summary:   Directly supervises food-service associates in accordance with policies, procedures and applicable laws.  
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Trains employees; plans, assigns and directs work; appraises performance; rewards and disciplines associates; addresses complaints and resolves problems.
  • Advises management of purchasing requirements with a focus on minimizing waste and avoiding product shortages.
  • Uses approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control.
  • Operates and cleans equipment in accordance with department procedures after each use.
  • Stores, labels and dates food items according to policy; maintains established food rotations in storage in order to minimize spoilage and waste.
  • Follows HACCP guidelines to ensure quality and safety of food supply.
  • Operates food-service equipment in a safe manner and according to established policies and procedures.
  • Helps serves meals; remains present during scheduled meal periods to receive customer comments and feedback.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
