MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

Allen - Bradley - Fanuc Robotics 

Salary Range : Based on Qualifications

Oar Staffing is conducting a search for an experienced Maintenance Technician for our client located in Southern Indiana, conveniently situated approximately 10 minutes from downtown Louisville, Kentucky.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled maintenance professional with experience in an automotive manufacturing or industrial environment.

Position Summary

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the repair, maintenance, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance of machinery and equipment throughout the plant. This individual will complete assigned work orders and preventative maintenance activities while minimizing production interruptions and supporting a safe and efficient workplace.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Repair and maintain plant machinery and equipment.
  • Complete assigned work orders and preventative maintenance activities.
  • Troubleshoot equipment problems and determine appropriate resolutions with minimal interruption to production.
  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical equipment.
  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on production equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and program PLCs.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, hydraulic diagrams, piping diagrams, drawings, and equipment documentation.
  • Perform machine rebuilding, tool setting, welding, cutting, and fitting as needed.
  • Operate shop equipment including sanders, drill presses, mills, lathes, surface grinders, cranes, forklifts, and other maintenance equipment.
  • Research replacement parts, drawings, diagrams, and technical schematics.
  • Assist in maintaining a safe and productive workplace.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and maintenance best practices.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience in an automotive manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Associate's or two-year degree in Industrial Technology or a related field preferred.

Technical Experience Preferred

Experience with the following is highly desirable:

  • Allen-Bradley and/or Siemens PLCs
  • SLC and PanelView systems
  • Allen-Bradley frequency drives
  • Fanuc Robotics
  • Hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
  • Kaizen and other continuous improvement methodologies

Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will be a hands-on maintenance professional with strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. Candidates should be comfortable working independently, solving complex equipment problems, and supporting a fast-paced manufacturing operation.
