Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and safety-conscious Weld Robot and Cobot Operator to join our QuikCut West team.
This role involves operating and monitoring robotic and collaborative welding systems to ensure high-quality welds
and efficient production. The ideal candidate will have experience with automated welding equipment and a strong
understanding of manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor robotic and collaborative (cobot) welding systems in a production environment.
- Load and unload parts into welding fixtures and ensure proper alignment.
- Perform basic programming adjustments and troubleshoot robotic weld paths as needed.
- Inspect welds for quality and consistency using visual and measurement tools.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of robotic equipment and workstations.
- Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to resolve technical issues.
- Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Document production data and report any defects or equipment malfunctions.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing practices.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in welding or robotics is a plus.
- Experience operating robotic welding systems (e.g., FANUC, ABB, Yaskawa) preferred.
- Familiarity with collaborative robots (cobots) and basic programming concepts.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and technical drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment.
