We're an original fantasy sports pioneer, with a legacy of innovation that helps us continue to be a fantasy leader. And as one of the most-visited sports platforms on the internet, we're one of the best places for brands to reach fans.

A Little About Us

The Yahoo Sports Growth & Subscriptions team drives audience acquisition, fan engagement, and revenue optimization across the leading digital sports and fantasy ecosystem. Operating across Yahoo Fantasy, Fantasy+, Fandom & Community, and Sports Content, our team bridges product, technology, marketing, and editorial to build high-converting, personalized fan experiences at scale.

Responsibilities
  • Strategic Growth Architecture: Own the end-to-end growth strategy and revenue performance across the full Yahoo Sports product portfolio, driving adoption for Yahoo Fantasy and revenue growth for Yahoo Fantasy+ and future subscription offerings.
  • AI-Augmented Growth Workflows: Champion the adoption of generative AI tools (such as Anthropic Claude via AWS Bedrock and internal AI data query assistants) to accelerate seasonal growth experimentation, synthesize cohort data, and automate personalized subscriber onboarding journeys.
  • Portfolio & Feature Engagement: Drive retention, usage, and re-engagement across core surfaces (draft tools, in-season lineup management, commissioner controls, and fandom tools), establishing data-driven feedback loops to convert active users into paying subscribers.
  • Subscription Business & Retention Optimization: Direct in-product monetization strategies for Fantasy+, including dynamic paywall placement, onboarding activation, churn-save mechanics tied to the sports calendar, and partner perk programs.
  • Predictive Analytics & Experimentation: Leverage AI-assisted analytics and predictive modeling to identify early indicators of subscriber churn, model LTV across seasonal cohorts, and optimize A/B testing velocity across mobile and web surfaces.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead cross-functional growth initiatives across Engineering, Product, Marketing, Business Development, and Editorial, establishing shared growth targets, rapid experimentation frameworks, and executive visibility.
  • Team Empowerment & AI Mindset: Foster an experimental, AI-forward culture across growth and cross-functional teams, building organizational competency in prompt-assisted copywriting, rapid prototyping, and automated funnel diagnostics.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Economics, Marketing, Data Analytics, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 10+ years of professional experience in product management, growth, or digital subscription leadership within consumer-facing, high-scale platforms (M6 level).
  • Proven track record of operating a D2C or subscription business with direct accountability for conversion, activation, retention, and LTV.
  • Demonstrated experience utilizing AI-assisted analytics or workflow tools (e.g., LLM prompts for copy generation, AI SQL copilots, or predictive analytics platforms) to accelerate growth velocity.
  • Deep command of in-product growth mechanics, including paywall optimization, dynamic onboarding, viral loops, and rigorous A/B experimentation.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience driving cross-functional outcomes across teams you do not directly manage.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree or MBA.
  • Direct growth leadership experience in sports, media, gaming, fantasy sports, or enthusiasm-driven verticals.
  • Hands-on familiarity with deploying AI-driven personalization engines, dynamic paywalls, or automated fan engagement messaging triggers.
