Job description

WAVY-TV 10/WVBT FOX43 is searching for a dynamic DIGITAL INTERN who wants to write for the web, produce multimedia stories about Hampton Roads, and assist in operating a dynamic website with regular updates as well as constantly emerging content.

This is an UNPAID / FOR-CREDIT position for the Fall semester 2026 only.

We are looking for someone who has completed journalism writing and editing courses, has a working knowledge of WordPress, CMS, social media platforms; videography course with a working knowledge Adobe Premiere preferred, and passion for telling local stories. This intern could also be creating Facebook posts, Tweets, and promoting coverage, as well as coordinating with our streaming channel production team.

The successful candidate must have a willingness to learn the inner workings of a local newsroom and how all departments in a TV station work to support each other. Before beginning, the intern *must be* enrolled in a college degree granting program, and *will be required* to show proof of enrollment in an internship course within that program.

12-15 hours per week on site. Ability to work a varying schedule Sunday through Saturday required; days and times will vary and be set in agreement with supervisor.
