Job description

DESCRIPTION
Who We Are
At Buckner's, every role has a purpose and every person has a place. We don't have unimportant jobs here - we have a crew where everyone holds a piece of the operation together. The Dish Line is proof of that.
The Role
You want to talk about the heartbeat of a kitchen? It's the Dish Line. If these stations stay ahead or fall behind, everything else follows. When it runs clean and tight, the whole crew wins. That's the weight this role carries - and we mean that as a compliment.
This isn't a position for someone looking to coast. You'll be moving constantly, working in a hot and wet environment, and keeping up with the pace of a high-volume restaurant. It's physical, it's demanding, and it matters more than most people realize. We know that - and we respect it.
What you will find here is a crew that has your back, leadership that sees your work, and a place where showing up with effort and a good attitude will take you further than you'd expect.
What You'll Do
  • Keep the flow of all restaurant washables moving - plates, pots, utensils, cups - without letting the line back up
  • Ensure everything coming off your station is properly cleaned and sanitized before it goes back into service
  • Maintain clean and sanitized areas, tools, and floors throughout every shift
  • Execute station set up and breakdown at the end of each day - the right way, every time
  • Communicate with your crew and support the kitchen when and where it's needed
  • Hold yourself to a standard - because in this kitchen, clean isn't optional, it's the baseline

What We're Looking For
  • Someone with a strong work ethic and the ability to stay focused when the pace picks up
  • Ability to stay on your feet and keep moving in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment (we want to be upfront - this role is one of the most physical in the building)
  • A genuine respect for cleanliness and sanitation - not because someone is watching, but because you get it
  • Ability to take direction and work within a system
  • No experience necessary - but reliability, honesty, and effort are required from day one

What You Can Expect From Us
  • Competitive pay and flexible scheduling
  • A crew that respects the grind and treats every role with equal value
  • Real growth opportunities - many of our kitchen crew started right here on the Dish Line
  • Leadership that invests in people, not just positions

The Bottom Line
The Dish Line isn't where careers end - it's where a lot of them start. If you're willing to work hard, show up consistently, and be a part of something that runs on trust and teamwork, there's a place for you at Buckner's.
Apply today. We'll take it from there.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to understand and follow direction from others.
  • Ability to work in a high volume, fast-paced work environment.
