Job Role - UX Designer Location - McLean VA - Onsite Job Description Must Have Technical/Functional Skills • Advanced proficiency in Figma, including auto-layout, components, prototyping, and design systems. • Experience designing for credit unions, banks, or fintech, with a strong understanding of digital banking workflows. • Expertise in designing responsive websites and native mobile apps (iOS/Android). • Ability to design user journeys for: o Online & mobile banking o Account onboarding o Loan & credit card applications o Payments, transfers, bill pay o Digital servicing flows • Familiarity with WCAG 2.x and ADA compliance for U.S. digital experiences. • Experience conducting user research and usability testing. • Ability to create personas, user flows, IA, journey maps, and interactive prototypes. • Strong understanding of design methodologies (Design Thinking, UCD, Double Diamond). • Familiarity with regulatory considerations: disclosures, fraud prevention, clarity in financial UI. • Experience maintaining and scaling design systems. Roles & Responsibilities • Lead UX design for the credit union's website, online banking portal, and mobile banking app. • Implement a structured design methodology for new products and features, from research through final delivery. • Develop executive-level presentations, including conceptual design strategies, member journey insights, and proposed UI/UX solutions. • Create and maintain a Figma-based design system to ensure consistency across web and mobile channels. • Conduct user research, usability testing, and stakeholder interviews to inform design decisions. • Translate complex regulatory and compliance requirements into clear, intuitive designs. • Optimize high-impact member journeys: onboarding, loan applications, digital payments, authentication, account management. • Partner with Product, Technology, Marketing, Compliance, Risk, and Operations teams to align design direction. • Present design concepts and rationale to Leadership, Executive Teams, and Steering Committees. • Ensure designs meet brand standards, accessibility requirements, and security best practices. • advocate for the voice of the member throughout the product lifecycle. Generic Managerial Skills, If any • Strong communication and storytelling skills, especially for executive audiences. • Ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional and regulated environments. • Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and expectation-setting skills. • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. • Capacity to manage multiple workstreams and meet deadlines. • Ability to mentor or support junior designers if needed.
