As Senior Director Engineering - User Experience (UX) here at Honeywell Technologies, you will lead the transformation of UX across Building Automation's global portfolio of digital and physical solutions.

You will redefine how users interact with complex systems spanning software, hardware, and real-world workflows, shifting UX from interface design to a research-driven, outcome-focused discipline that directly shapes product strategy and customer value. This role is crucial in enhancing the capability and effectiveness of the UX team by driving the upskilling of Gen AI and UX for AI/ML capabilities, advocating for end-user co-creation and fostering an innovative and user-centered design environment.

You will report to the Chief Technology Officer, Building Automation and work from our Atlanta, GA location on a hybrid work schedule with a minimum of 3 days a week in the office.

Honeywell helps organizations solve the world's most complex challenges in automation, the future of aviation and energy transition. As a trusted partner, we provide actionable solutions and innovation through our Aerospace Technologies, Building Automation, Energy and Sustainability Solutions, and Industrial Automation business segments - powered by our Honeywell Forge software - that help make the world smarter, safer and more sustainable.

You Must Have

  • 8+ years of experience leading user research and/or experience design leveraging foundational behavioral science and psychology
  • Proven experience leading digital or UX transformation initiatives in a matrixed environment
  • Ability to operate across software and real-world operational systems

We Value

  • Bachelor's and/or advanced degree in degree in Behavioral Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, User Experience Design, or a related field
  • Deep understanding of customer journeys, workflows, and systems thinking
  • Experience in platform-based ecosystems (e.g., cloud, enterprise SaaS, industrial tech)
  • Exposure to AI/ML-enabled products or design workflows
  • Strong executive communication and stakeholder influence skills
  • Experience building or scaling UX functions within complex organizations
