Job description

Elevate Semiconductor is excited to offer a Fall Product Engineering Internship program designed for motivated students pursuing careers in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or related fields. This internship provides hands-on experience in the semiconductor industry, working alongside experienced engineers on projects that support product development, testing, and manufacturing.

The intern will work alongside experienced engineers and contribute to real engineering projects supporting Elevate’s analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits. This is an excellent opportunity for an Electrical Engineering student who wants practical exposure to semiconductor product engineering, laboratory testing, data analysis, and the overall IC product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support product characterization, validation, and engineering testing activities
  • Assist with collecting, organizing, and analyzing laboratory and semiconductor test data
  • Perform bench measurements and support evaluation of analog and mixed-signal IC performance
  • Assist engineers with troubleshooting and root-cause investigation of product or test issues
  • Support characterization across voltage, temperature, process, and other operating conditions
  • Develop or improve scripts and tools used for data collection, processing, and analysis
  • Document test results, procedures, findings, and engineering observations
  • Assist with evaluation boards, test hardware, and laboratory equipment as needed
  • Work closely with Product, Test, Design, and Applications Engineering teams
  • Support additional engineering projects based on team priorities

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field
  • Coursework or foundational knowledge in analog circuits, electronics, semiconductor devices, or integrated circuits
  • Comfortable working with technical data and performing detailed analysis
  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating with an engineering team
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work onsite in San Diego during the Fall 2026 semester

This internship is a temporary position paid at $23 per hour. We require interns to commit to a minimum of 15 hours per week to ensure they have enough time to meaningfully contribute, learn, and gain value from the experience, while recognizing that school is their first priority and their primary job.
