Marketing Communications Intern

This self-motivated individual will assist with a multitude of marketing and social media functions while getting to experience the day-to-day activities of a fast-paced agency. The best candidates will possess strong writing and proofreading skills, have a solid understanding of media relations and current events, and have previous relevant internship experience. We seek creative, strategic thinkers who can develop varied content, including press releases, blog posts, social media posts, email communications and more - all of which contribute to growing clients' presence. The position also requires an individual with a passion for emerging media and an understanding of social media as it applies to business.

Responsibilities:

Support the Marketing & Social Media teams, including:

  • Updating and maintaining media lists
  • Developing and posting news releases
  • Creating content for client social channels
  • Monitoring and moderating client social channels, including online reputation management
  • Tracking analytics and providing support for results reporting
  • Compiling industry research and insights

Qualifications:

  • Understanding of business use of popular social media channels such as Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Instagram, etc., and the ability to effectively interpret and summarize data

  • Strong research skills and ability to summarize large amounts of data into digestible takeaways
  • Strong writing skills

  • Knowledge of SEO and SEM is an asset
  • Great attention to detail, enthusiasm, organization, multitasking, and desire to be a team player
