Job Description

Are you interested in getting a jump start into the world of Washington State and Federal politics? As we gear up for the 2026 election, now is the perfect time to jump in the deep end of democratic politics. Newman Partners is a political consulting firm working on many local and national campaigns for progressive candidates and initiatives. This is a great opportunity to get hands on experience with Statewide and Federal campaigns!

About the Internship:

The Newman Partners Fundraising Internship provides an excellent opportunity for students to gain first-hand campaign experience on targeted statewide, congressional, and local campaigns. The program is intended to provide knowledge, skills and experience that interns can apply to future challenges and professional pursuits. We expect a great deal from our interns and the selected candidates will make a significant contribution to helping candidates succeed in their races.

You must consider yourself a Democrat/Progressive and have a passion to work in Washington state politics.

Interns can expect to work between 10 to 20 hours a week, to be discussed upon offer.

Interns offered an internship can expect to begin working the second week of September and can expect to work through the mid-December, depending on needs of Newman Partners and intern availability. Options to extend the internship are available and will be offered on a case to case basis.

Newman Partners is a top level consulting firm, focused on fundraising and strategy for progressive political campaigns in Washington state. We work with high profile clients, including Presidential, Senate, Congressional & state wide races, as well as a number of progressive initiatives and organizations. We are currently seeking to hire an exceptional individual to work on our fundraising team.

Skills and Experience Preferred but not Required:

Prior political fundraising or campaign experience is preferred, but not necessary.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the NGP universe (VoteBuilder, etc.)

Requirements:

Proven ability to multi-task and work at a fast pace

Must be detail oriented

Strong interpersonal skills
