Job description

Do you love surgery? Faithful Friends Animal Society is seeking a full‑time or part‑time veterinarian to join our team in our new modern shelter with a medical wing, surgical suite, and new mobile clinic. The ideal candidate will focus on public and shelter spay/neuter, with the ability to perform life‑saving and specialty surgeries such as mass removals and hernia repairs.

Responsibilities
  • Perform high‑volume spay and neuter surgeries for cats and dogs.
  • Conduct specialty surgeries as needed.
  • Communicate with clients clearly and compassionately, discussing surgery results and after‑care instructions.
Requirements
  • DVM degree (or equivalent) with a Delaware veterinary license.
  • At least 1 year of small animal veterinary experience.
  • Proficient in high‑quality spay/neuter procedures for cats and dogs.
  • DEA license required.
Additional Skills
  • Humane Alliance high‑volume spay/neuter training (plus).
  • Fear‑Free program certification (plus).

Compensation
