MATHEMATICS TEACHER
Full Position
2026 – 2027 School Year

Job Description:
  • Teach Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, Finance, Statistics, Precalculus, and/or AP Calculus AB to eager young minds.
  • Instill in students a love for mathematics.
  • Open students’ hearts, minds, and souls to all that is good, beautiful, and true through the teaching of mathematics.
  • Use creative and varied pedagogical techniques to create a fun, ordered, and fruitful learning environment.
  • Work collaboratively with the instructional leader and members of the mathematics department to leverage best practices and build a passion for mathematics at the school.
  • Serve as a faculty mentor to one of FGR’s House Groups.
  • Be ready to support the mission of the school with other duties as assigned.
  • And naturally, prepare lesson plans; take attendance; give assignments and tests; grade student participation and performance; discipline students; and meet with students and parents as needed to discuss any issues.
Necessary Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics and EX Certification. Preferred: An M.A. in Mathematics, Education, or a related field.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience teaching Mathematics at the high school level preferred.
  • Ability to teach Computer Programming a plus.
  • Proven ability to manage a classroom of 20+ students.
  • Skilled at developing and delivering lesson plans that engage students and lead to high academic achievement.
  • Passionate about forming intentional disciples of Jesus Christ.
